Planet Eclipse: Jack Wood zu Produktzyklen

Mit dem Erscheinen der neuen CSL Egos aus dem Hause Planet Eclipse kam mal wieder die Frage auf, wo im jährlichen Rhythmus man sich befindet und ob es weitergeht wie gewohnt.

Ganz im Gegenteil meint Jack Wood. Man möchte sich überhaupt nicht (mehr) am Kalender orientieren, sondern neue Modell bringen wenn es sich für alle lohnt.

“Planet Eclipse are now actively working to move away from annual releases of all their markers within their range. The Etek and Geo have never been in an annual cycle. The Ego will also be pulled out of its annual cycle. In layman’s terms this means there will NOT be an Ego12.

There is no plan to stop production of any of the current markers or any of the off-shoots of each of those models (SL etc). What it does mean is that we will have longer to develop the replacements of each of the models giving each model a longer lifespan, something I believe customers are looking for in the current market. We don’t simply want to release an EGO12 with a few minor tweaks and expect people to buy it.

NATIONALMANNSCHAFT - Damen vertreten Deutschland auf der Mille

Die Vulkaneifel bebte – ein Erdbeben in der Eifel? Nein, es war kein Erdbeben was die Erde am vergangenen Wochenende beben lies. Es waren viel mehr unzählige jubelnde Paintballfans, welche die Tribünen der Sportschule Bitburg füllten und sie immer wieder zum beben brachten. 
Ein Zimmer an diesem Wochenende in Bitburg zu bekommen war aussichtslos. Die Standardauskunft der Hoteliers im Umkreis immer die selbe: „Leider kein Zimmer frei, wir haben hier ein internationales Paintballevent und sind ausgebucht“. 

Was war los in Bitburg? Ein Internationales Paintballevent?

Weit über 1000 Paintballspieler/innen aus über 24 Nationen waren bereits Mitte der Woche angereist, um an den European Millennium Series den, Maxs Masters teilzunehmen.   
Insbesondere die Vorankündigung, das unsere deutsche Paintball Frauen Nationalmannschaft an den Frauen-Europameisterschaften teilnimmt, welcher ebenfalls auf den Maxs Masters erstmalig ausgetragen wurden, zog etliche deutsche Fans nach Bitburg. Sie nahmen jeden Weg auf sich, organisierten sich in Fahrgemeinschaften und mieteten im Süden sogar einen Reisebus an, um gemeinschaftlich zur Unterstützung anzureisen. 
Aber nicht nur unsere Nationalmannschaft und deren Fangemeinde waren vor Ort, sonder auch die Frauen-Nationalmannschaften mit Fans aus Russland und Frankreich.

Bereits am Freitag fanden die ersten Vorrundebegegnungen statt. Die am Freitag angereiste Fangemeinde der Russen und Franzosen, sowie die der deutschen Frauen-Nationalmannschaft übten sich ein, für die Finalspiele am Samstag. 
Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war bereits klar, es wird nicht einfach werden für unsere Nationalmannschaft. Unsere Frauen würden jede Motivation und Unterstützung benötigen, um gegen die anderen Nationen zu bestehen. Am Ende der Vorrunde lagen Sie knapp nach Punkten auf dem 2. Platz. Vor Ihnen die Franzosen und knapp hinter ihnen die Mannschaft aus Russland. Diese drei Teams waren die Top3 Nationen, die am Samstag die Finalrunde besetzen und um den Frauen-Europameistertitel kämpfen würden. 

Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war bereits abzusehen, dass der kommende Samstagnachmittag ein „Hexenkessel der Emotionen“ werden würde. 
Deutlich war die Anspannung in der deutschen Mannschaft zu spüren. Jeder Siegpunkt weckte die unterschiedlichsten Emotionen in den Spielerinnen. 
Unsere deutschen Nationaltrainer Dennis Morales Flores, Javier Primo und Daniel Dingeldein schwören am Abend Ihre Mannschaft noch einmal für die Finals am Samstag ein.

Samstagnachmittag war es endlich soweit. Bei hitzigen Temperaturen betraten die drei Nationen Frankreich, Deutschland und Russland das Spielfeld der Champions League (CPL).
Die Stimmung brodelte! Fans mit wehenden Deutschlandfahnen und Hüten säumten die Paintballspielfelder und Tribünen. Auf den Wangen der Zuschauer prangten links und rechts die aufgemalten Deutschlandfahnen. 
Was dann folgte war für alle beteiligte Gänsehautfeeling pur. Ein wahrer Paintballkrimi entwickelte sich auf dem Spielfeld zwischen den Nationen.
Jeder Siegpunkt der Frauen wurde mit lautem Fangeschrei bejubelt. Keine Nation schenkte sich etwas. Die elektronische Punktetafel zeigte immer wieder einen Punktegleichstand 2:2 an, so dass die deutsche Begegnungen gegen Russland in die „Overtime“ zum entscheidenden Punkt gingen.

Am Ende der Finals hieß es - Sieg für Frankreich vor Russland und Deutschland. 

Unsere deutsche Frauen–Nationalmannschaft zeigte an diesem Nachmittag, welches spielerisch, starkes Potential noch in Ihnen steckt. 
Die Spielerinnen der Nationalmannschaften sowie Ihre Trainer, Organisatoren und Sponsoren waren sich einig, die Damen-Europameisterschaft ist der richtige Weg, den Paintballsport in Europa, insbesondere auch bei Frauen weiter zu etablieren.

According to a listing on the Chicago Tribune’s website, online retailer ActionVillages secure creditor is liquidating the AV inventory in order to recover its investment. At one point in time, AV was the go to place for paintball goods online and we are shocked to hear the company may possibly be closing its doors. 

Rumors have circulated around the paintball industry that ActionVillage was experiencing difficulty though no concrete evidence was available to support these claims. During the companies hey-day, customer service and available inventory were two cornerstones of AV’s success. You can understand our surprise when we discovered customer and AV Staff posting messages on facebook regarding recent issues disconnected telephone service and customer service. The company recently revamped the ActionVillage.com online store and increased online marketing efforts through social networks, though it may have been too little too late. According to a listing posted on April 24th, AV was hiring for a retail position at the companies headquarters in Wood Dale, IL. A second listing on May 7th announces the closing of the online store front due to “some long-needed renovations” and promises to let customers know when they are open again for business. 

Several years back, ActionVillage operated a pro paintball focused website known as PaintballStar / PBStar. PBStar was the go-to resource for paintball news and videos and later served as inspiration for our very own website, ProPaintball.com. It goes without saying that we are sad to see a former industry titan be dismantled on the auction block. Here is the official notice as posted on the Chicago Tribune;

Erster Spieltag Deutsche Paintball Bundesliga - Die Favoritenjagt ist eröffnet

Der erste Spieltag der Deutschen Paintball Bundesliga ist over and out! Der Deutsche Meister Rammstein Instinct, Vize Meister Frankfurt Syndicate und drittplatzierter der Paintball Bundesliga Saison 2010, Rebirth Berlin durften sich am vergangenen Wochenende hinten anstellen.

Over and Out: Der erste Spieltag der

Deutschen Paintball Bundesliga

Breakout Spa, das Team rund um Team-Capitian Geoffrey Boullion, gewann den ersten Spieltag der Deutschen Paintball Bundesliga souverän mit vier Punkten in allen vier Begegnungen. 

Es wird daher in den kommenden Spieltagen äußerst spannend, wenn Breakout Spa auf den Deutschen Meister Rammstein Instinct trifft oder sich mit Rebirth Berlin messen muss.

Der hoffnungsvolle Aufsteiger aus der zweiten DPL, JE-Factory aus Rheine, liegt momentan im Mittelfeld der Tabelle und teilt sich punktgleich den sechsten Platz mit Düsseldorf Reckless.



Kein klarer Tagessieger in der Zweiten Bundesliga



In der zweiten Deutschen Paintball Bundesliga hingegen gab es keinen klaren Tagessieger: Die Aufsteigerteams Cologne Hurricanes sowie Hannover Showdown zeigten gleich am ersten Tag was von ihnen erwartet werden kann. Sie gewannen drei von vier Spielen und reihen sich, neben Fatality Koblenz, oben in der Tabelle ein. 

Enttäuschend hingegen die Leistung von Excidio Leipzig und den Herford Mohawks, diese fanden einfach nicht in ihr Spiel und gaben drei von insgesamt vier Begegnungen ab. Das gleiche Schicksal ereilte auch die Muchachos Berlin, deren nagelneues Jersey leider kein Spielglück brachte.



Nicht einfaches Bitburg

Das Layout des ersten Spieltages der Deutschen Paintball Bundesliga, sprich die Platzierung der Deckungen, genannt „Bitburg“ war dabei nicht einfach zu spielen. Die Teams waren gezwungen direkt am Anfang des Spiels dicht zusammen zu bleiben und die ersten Deckungen doppelt zu besetzen. 

Wählte das Team eine defensive Taktik und erlaubte sich dabei nur einen Fehler in der Defensive oder verlor beim Start direkt einen Spieler, war es sehr schwer noch das Spiel für sich zu entscheiden. Schnelle und vor allem offensive Taktiken wurden auf diesem Layout mit einem Sieg belohnt. Dabei spielte es anscheinend keine Rolle, ob das Team einen Weg durch die Mitte oder später über die Außenseiten wählte.



Wer sich in den weiteren Spieltagen der Deutschen Paintball Bundesliga durchsetzen kann – wir halten euch auf dem Laufenden.

Paintball ist Ungefährlicher als Bowling

Langenfeld (RP) Die Paintballhalle in Monheim, die vor fünf Monaten an der Baumberger Chaussee öffnete, war mit einem Stand auf der Weguspo vertreten. RP-Mitarbeiter Dorian Audersch sprach mit Bastian Meier über den spielerischen Schießsport und seine gesundheitsfördernde Wirkung. Der 32-jährige Diplom-Sportwissenschaftler ist Geschäftsführer der Halle.

Herr Meier, wie liefen die letzten Monate aus geschäftlicher Sicht?

Meier Insgesamt läuft es hervorragend. Wir hatten bereits nach den ersten drei Tagen die Planungsziele für einen Monat erreicht. Auch danach hat es sich sehr positiv entwickelt. Derzeit kommen zwischen 1000 und 1500 Menschen pro Monat auf unsere Anlage. Vom Profi bis zum Gelegenheitsspieler ist alles dabei. Wobei die professionellen Sportler ihre eigenen Zeiten haben, um für Turniere zu trainieren.

Ist Paintball ein gesunder Sport?

Meier Im Grunde ist es ein Sport wie jeder andere auch. Paintball fördert die Kondition und wirkt sich positiv auf den Kreislauf aus – und das bei einem sehr geringen Risiko für Verletzungen. In einer Liste der gefährlichsten Sportarten rangiert Paintball noch unter Bowling. Zudem ist die Belastung der Gelenke bei diesem Sport gering und die Motivationslage ist eine ganz andere, als beispielsweise beim Joggen.

Inwiefern?

Meier Man spielt in einem Team und der Adrenalinpegel ist dabei sehr hoch. Es ist eine Verbindung aus Spiel und Sport, die sehr motivierend wirkt, wenn man sich darauf einlässt. Die Bewegung ist vielseitig und führt zu den oben genannten positiven Effekten.

Paintball hat in der Öffentlichkeit ein schlechtes Image, viele Menschen assoziieren damit eine gewisse Gewaltbereitschaft. Zu Recht?

Meier Das ist einer der Gründe, warum wir uns auf der Weguspo präsentiert haben. Wir wollten uns auch den Menschen zeigen, die nicht direkt zu unserer Zielgruppe gehören. Kritische Fragen gehören dabei zur Tagesordnung. Paintball-Spieler sind keine Kriegsfetischisten. Deswegen gehen wir aktiv in die Diskussion hinein und versuchen dabei, Vorurteile abzubauen. Paintball ist aus meiner Sicht auch nicht anders als zum Beispiel Völkerball.

2010 was a great year for both Ramstein Instinct and Dusseldorf Reckless. With Reckless winning the XPSL overall championship and Instinct winning the DPL Championship – Both teams using Planet Eclipse Markers (EGO’s and GEO’).

After finishing 2009 with an unlucky 2nd place in the 1st Bundesliga XPSL, Reckless just wanted to make our way back on the top! The season started well. We won all our games at the first two events and pushed by this we secured the first place at the German Open in August. On match day number three we lost our first game of the season, but anyway this was no serious problem on our fight for the 2010 championship!

Next up was Tanked Cup. To continue training in the off season we decided to participate in a winter league presented by four single events. And we are proud to say that we lead the leader board all the time and collected another awesome victory.

Fast forward to 2010 . . . . . . . . . . and the XPSL-Championship 2010.

The 2010 XPSL championship and victories in other tournaments are the rewards of the efforts by our players, coaches, sponsors and fans. And we want to say a special THANK YOU to our sponsor Planet Eclipse for equipping us with the most reliable and best guns and gear ever. You are at least responsible for our success!

At this point the Instinct Collaboration started.

Millenium Series CPL Team Ramstein Instinct starting working with Planet Eclipse in mid season 2010. They have been supplied with the same awesome Planet Eclipse GEOs and EGOs as Reckless.

We are proud to say both German champs are under one – awesome – roof! And it is no secret that Instinct relegated Frankfurt Syndicate to the 2nd place and won the 2010 DPL Championship.

In the offseason 2010/2011 Reckless picked up several new players, signed new contracts with our sponsors and prepared to defend our position at the top. In April the first event and start of our season rolled in and all of Reckless have been excited, what will happen in 2011???

The first match was against a new and unknown team called JE-Unit. And well we were just handed it off. We beat ourselves in this game. Highly motivated by this defeat we finished our second and last game at this match day against Dirty Annihilation with a clear and straight win.

To become the 2011 XPSL champion again, Reckless still have a long way to go, but with our sponsors – Planet Eclipse and Paintball.de – by our side, we can make it! Thank you all…

Planet Eclipse CSL - neuer Markierer

There is very little information known at this time but ANSgear has confirmed that Planet Eclipse is manufacturing a new limited edition gun for the 2011 season. The newest gun to be added to the Ego lineup will be the 2011 Planet Eclipse CSL Ego! 

The expected release date for the 2011 CSL Ego is sometime in late Spring or early Summer. Usually when Eclipse release their yearly limited guns, they only trickle in and sell out extremely quick. Once pictures of the 2011 Eclipse CSL Ego are released and pricing is confirmed will they be available for pre-order on ANSgear.com. We recommend locking your order in early so you can get one of the first CSL Egos to hit the states. 

Taking prior history into consideration, the CSL Ego will have some hot new features, upgrades and milling that will set it apart from the standard 2011 Ego guns. We will add the CSL Ego feature list to this page as soon as all of the information is confirmed by Planet Eclipse.

DPL Bezirksliga Ost 2011

Hallo Paintball Teams, 

hier die Informationen für die DPL Bezirksliga Ost 2011 (3-Mann-Format). 

Die DPL Ost bietet Euch dieses Jahr noch mehr Action, Fun und Möglichkeiten an. 
Im 3-Mann-Format steht der Spaß an allererster Stelle. Die BZL ist ideal für Einsteiger. 
Ihr könnt natürlich mit mehr als 3 Spielern anreisen. Durchwechseln ist erlaubt. 

Wir bieten Euch in der BZL Ost eine professionelle Orga, professionelles Marshalling, super Paint, jede Menge Spaß 
und natürlich Ruhm, Ehre, Urkunden, Pokale und Aufstiegsmöglichkeiten in die Landesligen. 

Highlight für die BZL Teams ist der DPL-Pokal. Die ersten beiden Plätze aus jeder BZL Region qualifizieren sich und fahren am 
25. September zum DPL-Pokal nach Solms auf das Bundesliga Feld in die Draxxus Arena.

1 Woche vor jedem Spieltag gibt es immer die Infos (Öffnungszeiten, Startzeit etc.) in 
jedem Forum. 

Jedes Team wird im Durchschnitt 10 bis 15 Spiele pro Tag haben. (abhängig von der Gesamtanzahl der Teams) 

Startgebühr für alle 4 Spieltage pro Team nur:
